Mother's Day 2025
To all you mothers out there...
The woman on the right is my mother, Betty Joyce Tramer Beatty Hall, taken in my living room in 1996. The child is her great-granddaughter—my granddaughter—who would have been two then.
This is my mother-in-law, Lucie Urban Wilson, taken in the Alter St. Matthaus Kirchhof, Berlin in 2015. I don’t have photos of either Elizabeth “Beth” Dewitt or Audra Hendricson, two of my “other mothers.” Wish I did now. All these very special women are gone now, but the one below…
This is my wife, Evelyne, in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, taken on the same trip as Lucie’s photo above. She’s very much with us, and today I shall celebrate her special role in my life, as I did with all the mothers who have ever touched me.
